First Tactical Joe, Now Skeet Shooter Barry

by Robert W. Hunnicutt   |  January 28th, 2013 2

President Obama told the Associated Press that yes, he has fired a gun, and in fact shoots skeet with guests at the presidential retreat at Camp David, Md., though the presidential daughters are not apparently invited.

Camp David does indeed have a skeet field, originally constructed for President Dwight  D. Eisenhower. I’ve handled Ike’s 20-gauge Winchester Model 21, and a Secret Service acquaintance confirmed that agents often pass the time shooting skeet at the presidential lair in Maryland’s Catoctin Mountains.

Obama went on to say that he respects the tradition of hunting and that gun control advocates “should listen more.” OK, Mr. President, give a listen to this. We aren’t giving up our ARs, our AKs or anything else. Thanks for listening.

We are going to be hearing more and more from anti-gun politicians about how much they love their shotguns, because they continue, against all evidence, to believe they can drive a wedge between shotgunners and riflemen. I think that routine needs a name, so I’m going to christen it the Fudd Gambit. So, next time you’re watching some blue-state Democrat interrupt a discourse on why you don’t need an AR-15 to talk about how much time he spends on the trap field or chasing the wily woodcock, be the first in your group to yell “Fudd Gambit!” I think there’s probably a drinking game in there somewhere.

Yea, I believe that. A 12 gauge would break that skinny A-hole. It's a classic strategy, divide and conquer.
