I own the 10/22 in the heavy barreled version and it's a great rifle, I like the look of the take down version but can it be fitted with the heavy barrel.

Purchased this rifle two weeks ago. This rifle is very portable, light weight, and is very accurate. It does have a heavy trigger pull, but at 50 yards and a small 4 power scope you can expect groups sizes about the size of a quarter. You cannot change the barrel on this rifle at this time. My bothers both have this rifle. One brother has the Ruger Target rifle with bipod. Very smooth and deadly accurate. Groups at 50 yards the size of a dime but less then a Nickle…My other brother customized his 10/22 with a custom barrel, had to get a modified stock, and added a Timony trigger assembly. Accurate as the Target Rifle, but the costs to make it were offset. The trigger pull is like butter!!! I am planning this mod!!
