New Armalite AR-10A Rifle and Carbine

The new Armalite AR-10A Super SASS rifle and AR-10A A4 carbine are designed to accept early ArmaLite AR-10 “Waffle” magazines and good quality magazines copied from them, instead of ArmaLite’s proprietary aluminum magazines that are used in our AR-10B family.

I've been hearing terrible things about Armalite on the forums lately.Barrels that shoot loose, pins that crack, and one guy that says his bolt split. Any truth to this?

I know this; they sell a .22 upper and it's actually made by CMMG apparently. That is actually a good thing as the CMMG rocks but it leaves some doubt as to what Armalite actually makes???

Someone that know or has owned both- please give me low-down/ pro-con/ good-bad on
    Armalite AR10 vs. DPMS AR10

  • Eric

I have an Armalite AR-10A. It is accurate and fun to shoot. I have about 1000 rounds through it and haven't had an issue. I have only shot a DMPS once and it seemed decent, but I feel as though the Armalite is higher quality.
