12-Gauge AR? Akdal MKA 1919 Shotgun

There seems to be no limit to what can be made to look like an AR-15, and now the breed has expanded into scatterguns. The firing controls are the same as the AR’s, but underneath the skin, the MKA 1919 is a very different gun. There may prove to be hunting and defensive applications, but mainly, it’s just fun to shoot. Read about it in the 2/1 issue of SGN.

An interesting shotgun for sure. I wonder if it would hold up to a three gun shoot?!? I would assume that large capacity magazines will soon be available. I can find info on the web as easily as the next guy, however, I wish SGN would would publish the MSRP of the weapons the review.

I wouldnt advise buying one because the ATF is already starting to classify these as destructive devices because the have a half inch bore and are semi automatic and are considerd to be in a nonsporting configuration. Get ready to surender it like I had to surender my legally purchased street sweeper back in the 1990's just warning everybody before you lose 7 or 8 hundred dollars. Dont believe me it happened to me.

Oh yeah they dont buy it back they confiscate it. You just dont get charged with owning a destructive device and stay on the good list as long as you hand it over no refunds though. Otherwise your a FELON in possesion of a destructive device even though it was written up on form 4473 as a 12 gauge shotgun.

Keep on rocking in the free world.

Buy the way I asked them had my street sweeper been a .410 instead of 12 guage would they still have confiscated it ? Thier answer was no because it wouldnt have a half inch bore.

Never lay down your arms. You could have registered it, or went to court.

arkadaşlar dört ay önce bir adet mka 19 19 otomatik tüfek satın aldım,gerekli yasal işlemlerinide yaptım .ruhsatımıda aldım,ama ilgili ilçe merkez karakolundan bir evrak eksik diye beni çağırdılar.bunun üzerine karakola gidince tüfeğime el koydular.üstelik hiç bir bedel ödemeden.gerekçede üretici fabrikanın bu silahı sadece ihracat için izin aldığı idi,bu yüzden satılan tüfekleri topladıklarını söylediler.şu anda mağduriyetimi giderecek muhatap bulamıyorum.toplatma kararını alan yetkililer tüketicilerin haklarını nasıl göz ardı ederler anlayamıyorum. Being a descendant of john browning, I recall him having patened the first fully auto 12 guage somewhere late 1800's. "Hang on Jimmie"

me and my nj ffl are being told two different storys about the akdal 1919..some gun dealers say it is legal and some say it is illegal..one said its legal because the stock is one single piece including the evil pitol grip..others say no semi auto shotgun can have a pistol grip period in nj..anyone own an akdal 1919 in nj seamus
