looks like sig did it again ! very nice interpitation of the m14 hats off to sig thanks for still giving us the beauty and quality of such nice works of art

It's a copy of an M-4 their sailor the m-14 looks more like an M-1 garand or M-1A1. Sure looks cute but it's still an AR-15. Just another M-16 clone of sorts to aid in filling the gunworld with these type weapons. Seems like sig would do better to engineer a whole new gun rather than redo one that already exists.

Better than a bare bones ar

    He said Sailor…lol

Joe obviously does not have one. I do, and it is sweet. I made a kill shot on a doe yesterday from over 400 meters out using the iron sights with a 15-20 mpr wind in my face, I have two witnesses to this spectacular shot. The Sig m400 is one outstanding rifle. I taught my son how to break it down completely and reassemble and he can do it in under 2 minutes, not bad being I picked this rifle up yesterday morning.

      Awesome !

Sirjames1967 that seems highly unlikely. and if it did happen it is very unethical. the 5.56 nato round doesen't have the balls to kill deer cleanly at 400 yards. You made a kill shot maybe, but how many shots did it take for you to get on target or walk it in. not very sporting

Using Ak Ironsights, I have hit does at 300m no problem in vitals. 7.62×39 is effective out to that range too.

    still prefer the 5.56

    agree with ALL this….

You guys are idiots, why do u think the military uses the 5.56 NATO! The shot can be easily made at 500 yards, one shot. Ask any Marine what they think about the AR platform.

dude shut up. the ar-15 is junk. ask people how many times they have to shoot someone for them to drop. most of the time it was twice and they ran off to die someplace else.

  8. bhupinder.sandhu

well a 7.62×39 should have no problems in hitting that far .well remains to be just verified if the bullet has the velocity it is not impossible many years back i got deer at 6oo yds with a bsa 8mm with iron sights and ihave four people to confirm the shot.

Oooohhhh. Look. A all new, MIL-SPEC AR. With MAGPUL furniture. How exciting.

  10. The M16 is the Military version of the AR 15! the AR 15 came first!! The man that invented it was named "STONER" he was a civilian building a civilian weapon the the Military adopted and turned it into the M16!

  11. Mike Balog

Eugene Stoner was an engineer with Fairchild Aircraft company and invented the AR 15 5.56 MM Automatic rifle for the USAF under contract. This rifle was designed to replace the M1 Garand, The M 14 Rifle and the M1 Carbine for a standard battle 1st for the USAF as a light weight battle rifle,. that would allow ground troops to carry twice as much ammo with a rifle that weighed Less that the M14 Rifle. And had the similar effective range stats. The Original AR 15 proved successful in that it developed into the M 16 Type A1
Rifle put into Production for the U..S.Army and the USMC as a replacement for the M14 battle rifle. The only drawback was the M 16 Rifle used the .223 or 5.56 MM Nato Round, instead of the .308 Nato Round the
M14 used. The AR 15 was also developed for the .308 Nato Cart. designated the AR -10.

Got one recently & love it! Ambi-mag release, safety, & ambi quick detach single point sling attachment. Hard choices these days, Stag 3 or this one was my choice. It does have very good fit & finish better than most I have seen at gun shows of all makes. Just DI like my trusty '99 Bushmaster. Eats everything I throw down it's throat, kinda like..nevermind! Great gun, magpul dresses it up, but no sissy to the Bushy! Great mid level gun that will shoot when I pul the trigger, & hits what I'm aiming at!..when I do truly aim it! Eotech sure makes short work of shooting it!~!
