Armed and Female: Even in Illinois, Constitution Should Apply

SGN, along with Intermedia Outdoors titles like Guns & Ammo, Shooting Times and Petersen’s Hunting, is headquartered in Peoria, Illinois. Illinois is, ironically, the last state in the union that forbids any form of concealed carry, being worse in that regard than even dismal spots like California or New Jersey. Here Chicago Tribune columnist John Kass visits some women who plan to be ready when the Land of Lincoln gets with the other 49 states.

    I think it is highly appropriate that Illinois folks can't have guns. If they are stupid enough to let things fall apart to the degree that they have there then things are as they should be.

      Now that was A real stupid thing to say, that has nothing to do with the people that have the right to own guns in that state. If YOU are that stupid someone needs be at your door tomorrow picking up your guns.

    illinois is a state that i grew up in. peoria. it is a tough state and lawmakers have the difficult task to decide what their constituants want. the largest population centers are chicago and st. louis. peple who live in inner city areas experience the most contact with violence and displays of outward aggressiveness. illinois should have every right to enact conceal and carry. its a right. so far !

    I wouldn't live in a State that didn't allow conceal carry. As a human being put upon this Earth I should have the right to defend myself and my family. I see too much where the rights of criminals are in consideration more than the law abiding citizen. I also see that the worst amount of violent crimes are in areas where law abiding citizens have the most strict gun laws put onto them. These are all urban areas under left wing control. Just saying!
